Race Headquarters

The next Mid-Atlantic MedWAR will be held at Newport News Park, VA.
The Race Start will be at Harwood's Mill and camping will be at Newport News Park. Harwood's Mill is a part of Newport News Park, but the entrance is several miles from the main section of the park.

Newport News Park is home to several adventure races and marathons. The Park also holds part of the Yorktown Battlefield and the Civil War Peninsula Campaign.

Camping

The Newport News Campground has many campsites and features including:

* Electrical and water hookups
* Heated showers and flush toilets
* Paved roadways and parking pads
* Picnic tables, grills and playgrounds
* Laundry facilities
* A camper store for food and supplies
* 24-hour security throughout the Parks and Recreation
* Centralized sewage disposal station
* Pets welcome; rabies certificate required at check-in

If you register for the MedWAR Race by March 24, 2008, we will make a group reservation. Please indicate the nights you wish to camp on your online registration.
